Whether you’re new to social media or consider yourself an online networking pro, chances are you have a few questions from time to time. How do I give Ferocious Media access to my social profiles and pages?

Your Social Media Account Analyst will help guide you through the process. This easy-to-follow video describes how to make Ferocious Media an Admin of your Facebook pagehttp://youtu.be/Hvg-KfiygGg.

Follow these directions to make us a manager of your Google+ page:

  • Log in to your Google+ account
  • Visit plus.google.com
  • Click the drop-down menu at the top left and select Pages
  • Find your page and select Manage this page
  • Click the drop down menu at the top left and select Settings
  • Click Managers at the top of the page
  • Click Add managers
  • Enter drivenlocalsocial@gmail.com, make sure you’ve selected Manager, and then click Invite (the name on our account will appear as Jamie Flynn)

All we need to access your Twitter profile and Blog are your login details (username and password).

Can I still post to my social profiles and pages?

Yes, but we recommend that you refer to your editorial calendar and try to post on days that your Social Media Account Analyst is not. Otherwise, our posts will “compete,” so to speak. In other words, the posts will not reach and engage as many followers.

What’s the difference between a Facebook profile and a business page?

A Facebook profile should only be used for personal social networking, while a Facebook page should be an accurate reflection of your business. Facebook writes:

Personal profiles are for non-commercial use and represent individual people. You can follow profiles to see public updates from people you’re interested in but aren’t friends with. Pages look similar to personal profiles, but they offer unique tools for businesses, brands and organizations. Pages are managed by people who have personal profiles. You can like a Page to see updates in News Feed.

How can I get more followers and likes?

The best way to go get more followers and likes is to buy ads on a social network. However, your Social Media Account Analyst will also spend time performing maintenance on your account. Through these interactions, you will also likely see an increase in followers and likes.

Do online reviews matter?

In short, yes, reviews matter. They impact your brand’s reputation, which influences purchasing behaviors. The following statistics pulled from a recent study highlight why you should pay attention to and respond to online reviews:

What is the complete process of blog writing? Are they posted right away or can the client review them?

We can work with you on your blogs in a number of ways. Typically your social media account manager will develop blogs relevant to your industry and post them on your social networks. However, if you’d prefer to write the blogs and have us edit and post them, we would be happy to do so.

Another option is to have your social media account manager draft blogs and send them to you for review before posting. We ask that you send your corrections or suggestions back in a timely manner to ensure that you receive the number of blogs you are contracted for each week.

A final option is to have your social media account manager write the blogs and post them to your social networks upon completion. If at any time you have a particular topic you would like discussed, please feel free to connect with your account manager and pass along your suggestion.

Will you manage my Yelp account if I am contracted for a WPO?

While your social media account analyst will certainly advise you on how to set up and use a Yelp account, your WPO package strictly includes Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube and sometimes blog posts (depending on your package).

Analysts are available for consultation, but will not be responsible for managing accounts outside of your contract. Speak with your sales representative about purchasing common add-ons to help the overall success of your campaign.

What types of posts perform best on social media?

It varies from platform to platform. Generally speaking, visual content (photos, videos and infographics, etc.) garner higher levels of engagement.

Why isn’t YouTube registering my video’s views and likes?

YouTube, which is owned by Google, requires users to sign into a Google account before liking, disliking or commenting on a post. If a user isn’t logged in, he/she won’t be able to like the video. Furthermore, views and likes are not tallied up in real time. Check back later to see if your likes are accurate.
