Ferocious Media Reviews: Roast Sandwich House

 

I’m happy to bring you the fourth installment of our new web series, Ferocious Media Reviews. In this series, we’ll be reviewing products, services and businesses used by our company. This week, we’re going to switch things up, and review our first food establishment…Roast Sandwich House, a gourmet sandwich shop located right down the road from us in Melville.

My office seemed to always get their big meetings catered from here, so I had to give it a shot. Here’s what I found…

Everything at Roast is so high quality, and is far from your traditional deli, so I wasn’t surprised to learn that its owned by 2 chefs from the Culinary Academy of Long Island.

My first time there I tried the Southwestern Roast chicken sandwich, which had monterey jack, roasted corn and tomato salsa, guacamole, and blacked aioli, and it was delicious. My next time I got the Philly Cheese Steak, which had Shaved Sirloin, Caramelized Onions, Bell Peppers, Havarti-Cheddar Combo & Garlic Aioli, and I was sold! During lunchtime this place is packed on a daily basis, but don’t let that discourage you, because their staff always seems to keep the lines moving, and the food is worth the wait.

But anyway, I’m no spring chicken nowadays, so I’ve been trying to eat healthier, which is why my favorite part of this place is their salad selection. These aren’t those traditional lettuce and tomato salads either, all of them are a unique and creative blend of fresh, seasonal ingredients. I eat lunch here a minimum of 3 days a week, so I’m a little biased, but let’s hear what everyone else around the office is saying…

Senior Executive VP Lauren Persico says “It’s our go-to choice for catered lunches in the office, especially when local clients are coming in for a meeting. Consistent and delicious and definitely a crowd pleaser.”

Social Media Account Analyst Brandon Berte says “Just got the soup and sandwich combo yesterday, great food every time.”

And Senior Social Media Account Analyst Joanna Gelo says “I love Roast for lunch, but I also had them cater a family party, and the food was amazing.”
