Get to know the Ferocious Media team, the members that make up our well oiled machine, in our weekly employee spotlight! Today, we sat down with Senior Search Engine Marketing Account Analyst, Kayley Conti. Take a look at the following:
What do you do on a daily basis? Depends on the day! Some days I spend the majority of my day optimizing SEM campaigns, other days I am on the phone with clients to discuss campaign performance and providing support for my team of analysts. When I have some downtime, I like to make sure I’m all caught up on Google AdWords and Bing AdsCenter’s latest changes.
Where did you work prior to Ferocious Media? I worked at MedNet Technologies providing social media and search engine marketing services for healthcare professionals.
Why did you get into the digital marketing industry? What interested you about Digital Marketing? In college I interned with a consumer PR firm doing heavy research on social media marketing trends. I was interested in using social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to promote businesses and develop and maintain relationships with customers. After working with social media platforms for a few years, I was introduced to SEM and loved how measurable results were. I have been working in SEM ever since!
What advice would you like to give clients? Your website is super important! We can write the best ads and choose the most relevant set of keywords to drive traffic to your site, but if customers aren’t presented with an attractive site containing high quality content and strong calls to action, your SEM campaign may not perform to the best of its ability.
What is your greatest achievement at work? Being able to manage a team of analysts! I love sharing my knowledge of the industry and providing feedback and suggestions on SEM account management strategies.
What do you like to do in your free time? I try to travel as much as possible, especially weekend trips. So far this year I have been to Nashville and Denver (to see our Denver team!), white water rafting in upstate New York and I have trips planned to D.C. and Austin over the next two months. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family (including my 2 dogs!), football Sundays (Go Giants!) and learning to cook.
What is your favorite book? The Hunger Games series. I read them years ago before Jennifer Lawrence became Katniss!
What is your favorite TV Show/Series? I don’t watch too much TV these days, but I used to love “Lost.” I also recently started watching “The Sopranos.”
What is your favorite movie? Basically anything with Leonardo DiCaprio, including “Titanic” and “The Departed.”
What song are you currently listening to? “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would love to travel through Europe, especially Italy. I am fascinated by the culture there…and of course the wine and pizza!
