Equally as important as the way your website looks is how it functions. As mentioned above, people use a wide array of devices to access the internet and search the web. Rather than start up their computer and open the web browser they are far more likely to whip out their smartphone and search for a plumber with the intent of getting help fast. If your website isn’t responsive (optimized for mobile devices) they may be frustrated pinching and zooming to find the information they are looking for. Another effective tactic is to use lead forms for people to fill out. If they are looking for an estimate on a new A/C unit, many people are more comfortable filling out a form on your website than calling up.
The important thing is to give your potential customers every opportunity to contact you and to make that a super easy thing to do.
